Over the past 10 or so years, I have run my own eBay business for 3 years, worked for two auction management software companies. In that time I have helped, small to massive companies grow their businesses online, specifically on the eBay & Amazon eCommerce channels. Now, I’m offering you the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of that experience.
Here’s how it works
You & I will work together for eight weeks. We will meet online for one hour each week, in which we will start from the beginning, where you have come from, where you are now and where you want to take your business. Then I’ll help you take the steps to make this a reality.
During our time together, we’ll be using meeting application called GoToMeeting, with me in person on each session, on a one-to-one basis, we will discover the areas where you should focus upon and then give you bite-sized action points to make this happen.
Changes don’t happen over-night, that’s why you’ll be given “Actions” to complete each week (think of it as “nice homework”). Equally, I have found that eight weeks is enough time to bring you up to speed, to transform you & your business.
You’ll be required to read a minimum of two books as part of our time together, don’t worry if you’re not a bookworm, both are available in audio CD formats.
Each session can be recorded using GoToMeeting and provided for your own-use afterwards. I’ll be there to hold your hand each step of the way.
A little history of what I have been up to.
I’m amazed at how much ground I have covered, from running my own eBay business, working with two SaaS companies to working with the largest eBay & Amazon merchants, including Tesco, Office Shoes and a whole raft that you’ve probably never heard of.
Here is a quick run down:
I first found eBay in 2002, by Jan 2003 I had started my own business and by June 2003 had quit my job and sold full time on eBay for 3 years. I organised the first UK eBay PowerSeller meeting which attended by eBay, featured in the Sunday Times & BBC Radio 4 “In Business” program.
Since then through my own activities & the two software companies, I’ve helped countless people & businesses on to eBay and to expand this channel.
Amazon was a late addition for me (2005). Its one of the most restrictive market places, but that doesn’t mean it cannot be leveraged and I’ve helped both small and large companies succeed on Amazon and also move away from the dependency on the channel.
- 3rd party software tools
After working for two auction management companies, the first MarketWorks (now owned by ChannelAdvisor) and three years at eSellerPro. There is little that throw at me with automation tools. Crucially to make the most of these, its how you use them. I can help you leverage these tools to your advantage.
- General eCommerce Experience
There is not much I’m not aware of in this arena, from Magento to OpenCart, Twitter to Facebook.
I also have knowledge of PHP, Excel & VBA, iMacros (web scraping), if you seen any part of this site, then WordPress is a core skill, most common tools like SMP, TurboLister & Amazon Seller Desktop, AMTU and pretty much anything web based that is eCommerce related.
It also helps I can sniff BS a mile away, I don’t do ‘secrets’, I do action.
How can all this be comfortably within your budget?
Because we’ll be using GoToMeeting (free download), Skype, telephone calls and the Internet to host the meetings, the overheads are minimal and I pass on 100% of the savings onto you.
As such, my fee is within your budget and it does not matter where you are in the world, all that is needed is a stable Internet connection, a headset, a willingness to learn and crucially the desire to take action.
Three key points
These are three key points that I feel are critically important to state when working with you, these are:
- I have no interest in a “physical product” business
If I wanted to do this, frankly I would be. I do not sell products myself and I feel this is a boundary that would break your “trust”. I thoroughly enjoy helping people just like you with their businesses. This is what I do.
- I have no interest in your “suppliers”
Again, if I wanted to know them, I’m pretty sure I could find them. Hence the open offer of a 9 month NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) on them, if they arise at all.
- You are required to give public feedback on working with me.
After the eight weeks have passed, I would like for you to provide feedback about working with me, the experience and difference its made to you.This is for two reasons, the first is to give you the confidence that I am willing to potentially have bad feedback posted here and the second that I am 100% confident that I can help you.
Peace of mind
You’ll only receive one invoice from me. Because my fee is capped, there’s no hourly rate for my time. One invoice covers everything for the eight weeks, one hour per week one-to-one with additional email & phone support as required.
I am 100% confident that I can help you and your business grow, as such I am also putting my “neck-on-the-line” by requiring you to leave public feedback on the experience, right here, on this site.
