hi matt,

thank you for the email and your help last week, muchos gracias, it worked like a dream

i only have 30 ebay listings, but my supplier has given me access to the rest of his range now and i would like to get them all on ebay and a website as the ebay fees are quite high in my category, but i need it to be as cheap as possible.

I looked a linnworks and channelgraber. linnworks looked to complicated but was free and channelgraber which looked much easier I cannot afford yet, can you suggest something i can use for free or very little money?

as you know I have to study a lot and this is only a part time business for me

Hola Andy,

Ah in your case (as I know your inventory make up), OpenCart and OpenBay

http://www.opencart.com/
http://shop.openbaypro.com/ope…..openbaypro
(emailed you the version I have to save you the tenner, maybe out of date though)

Opencart will take 15 mins to install (including upload time) and OpenBay probably 25 and to set up.

Shout if you get stuck and make sure you have a eBay selling manager pro subscription as it needs it (caught me out on that one, I hate SMP)

Word of caution, whilst openbay is free there do have a charging structure based on number of transactions (not totally sure what they count as a transaction, I’m guessing the number of API calls to eBay).

I have (am) using it to some extent and the free plan was soon outgrown.

Hola Pete,

Fab point, free for very basic use and then the prices go up, hardly break the bank materials though compared to eSellerPro & ChannelAdvisor :)

No certainly not break the bank – in fact I believe for £100 you can buy unlimited transactions – reason I mentioned was free/cheap was asked :)

hi matt,

i installed opencart as you suggested and openbay.

very straight forwards and i also bought the theme you suggested too. thanks, that saved me a load of cash.

still needs work and i got my first item listed via opencart yesterday, worked well, as you say “matt proof”.

@peter, yes, looked at pricing seemed really cheap. now i have used it, as long as i can get the template to look how i want, i’ll probably just go for the £100 one as we do quite a bit on ebay, amazon soon too.

Howdy Andy,

That template is sweet isn’t it! Swap the logo and you’re off.

The template is in a file, I forget where it is now, but it’s nice and basic and well just works. yay :)

hi pete,

it was called ‘simple’ on themeforest. changed the logo image for mine and edited a few pages and it was ready.
